Introducing: Apple Lossless Audio

UnitedMasters now supports Apple Lossless audio formats for all artists.

In early June, Apple made lossless audio available to all Apple Music subscribers.  We know how important it is for fans to hear your music at the highest possible fidelity, as it was originally created.  That’s why UnitedMasters is announcing support for Apple Lossless formats at no additional cost.

Most audio formats (like .mp3) lose some amount of sound data contained in the original source file. Lossless audio retains 100% of the original sound data and allows listeners to hear details more clearly.

Want to take advantage? When you distribute your music through UnitedMasters, simply upload your masters in .wav or .flac format and we’ll take care of the rest.  

UnitedMasters supports 16-bit or 24-bit .wav or .flac files with sample rates of 44.1, 48, 96, 176.4, and 192 kHz. For the best quality, we recommend 24 bit .wav files at a sample rate of 192 kHz.
