BROOKLYN, NY (December 3, 2024) - When we launched the Make Your Debut Challenge on August 13, our mission was clear: to discover, celebrate, and elevate the next wave of independent artistry. This contest wasn’t just a competition; it was a testament to what’s possible when raw talent meets opportunity. And what better way to introduce our brand-new DEBUT+ tier, available for just $19.99 per year, than with a platform that lets artists dream big?
To celebrate the launch of DEBUT+, we introduced the Make Your Debut Challenge, inviting artists to believe in their potential, submit their music, and join our ranks as a UnitedMasters Partner Artist. With a $250,000 development deal on the line, the stakes were high—and independent artists across the country answered the call.
The Numbers Speak for Themselves
With 23 press mentions over 2,700 submissions poured in (using the hashtag #DebutContest), showcasing the relentless hustle, passion, and creativity of independent artists. Narrowing it down to five finalists was no easy task. Each artist brought something special, but only one could rise above the rest.

Straight out of Cincinnati and now based in Atlanta, Dono stood out from the very beginning. Her raw energy, melodic sound, and undeniable talent captured the attention of our judges and our community. Dono’s artistry transcends genres, blending lyrical vulnerability with charismatic stage presence. She embodies everything UnitedMasters stands for: independence, hustle, and tenacity.
Winning the Make Your Debut Challenge means more than just a title for Dono. She’s now signed to a $250K artist development deal, granting her access to a full-service music team, A&R and marketing resources, and a personalized plan to elevate her career. She also performed live at SELECTCON in New York City, cementing her place among the UnitedMasters family.
